it's my last day at work, even though i don't leave for another week. kinda yucky weather outside, so it's hard to admire the view - can't see much beyond kyle field. don't have much going on, so i sit here and clean all my stuff off the computer. i do have lunch soon with all my coworkers. they're taking me out for a farewell lunch.
kinda makes me nostalgic. i've had a lot of fun here. all the trips with nick and his parents. hehe. roaming canton with linda, from months with blistering heat to frozen mornings where there's ice in the gravel near where we've parked. going on a picture taking spree with nick's dad in port aransas ...oh and there's a really good restaurant on the way - main street bistro. too bad i can't remember the name of the town it's in. road tripping to mountain view, arkansas with nick for the dulcimer jamboree. trekking with mom, kayla, and nick's mom to fourney for vintage linens. weekly dinners with nick and his parents...
i have to admit, i think the fondest memory i have of this year (even though it was quite confusing at the time) was my birthday. i have to admit, i know my mom's capable of surprises, but i never expected nick's parents to be plotting behing my back. ;) still, they plotted with my mom to get my mom, sis, and grandma back to surprise me for the weekend. eating with everyone at the saltlick was a ton of fun! :)
i'm going to miss this place, i think...
