i'm finally getting the new database somewhat under control. of course, i had to cut a bunch of checks out of the old one because of the whole maintenance module issue, but at least it should be just changing numbers in the journal entry i've already made. i hope. i've also got to make a je to get the accounts to match bank balances and then...i might actually get to go back to the "real" part of my job. funny how i can put such long hours into this job and still love it. :) i guess it's that i'm challenged and not burnt out. a good thing as the others who have been trying to get this part of the company straightened out are about to pull out their hair.
just a week now until i leave on my trip. at least we've got hotel and train and airfare arranged. if i can get half a minute before we go to figure out what i'd like to do there, that would be great. :) oh, and i still need to pack, but at least i've got stuff to take with me now - boots and pants and shirts and wool socks and a heavy coat and a hat and a scarf...okay. so not all of that is new, but the boots and socks are. comfy!
the funny thing is, i'll probably need all the above for my stopover in texas as well as for tromping around outside in scotland! :)
