i just bought a new camera. i know i bought one not too long ago, but it was a point and shoot type. serves its purpose, can stay in my purse for on-the-spot pictures. what i really wanted as a dlsr, so i finally broke down and got a nikon d40. it's perfect for what i want right now while i learn how to use the thing. i bought it just in time for a short photography class. still am getting the hang of the whole aperature and shutter speed thing, but i suppose i need to learn or what's the point?
anyway, i spent saturday at the wild animal park and sunday at the san diego zoo (hooray for memberships!) taking pictures and playing. after my next class on thursday, maybe the good ones will find their way to flikr. muahahaha - maybe g and sis will see what it's like having quasi-paparazzi following them around...
as an aside, dublin square pub downtown has a crave-worthy version of one of my favorite comfort foods - shepherd's pie. mmm. good on a rainy night like tonight. (would have forgotten about it, but henry's was having a private party. phhht. shouldn't have waited so long to go to dinner.)

it's no secret that this property owner has made our life a living hell. i firmly believe that all three of us have been sick for months because of the stress that this person has caused us. it was such a great day when we realized that we didn't have to put up with it. sure, as a new business, we could really use the money. on the other hand, 90% of the work for about 15% of our income? not a necessity.
since then, we've picked up three new accounts that we actually have time for, and soon we will have the time to do them justice. just. two. more. days.
