i really did intend to go out dancing this evening, but now i'm finding it's close to ten, chet baker is playing, and i just don't feel like it.
spent some time updating my myspace page - deleting stuff, adding a few things, pondering how many people have a page too...it's amazing to me. of course, i should have ducked outside and planted the last three plants i got for the backyard yesterday, but by the time i got done cleaning off my desk, it was dark. (not that that's stopped me before...) you should see the backyard. i think i'll have to post pictures soon. what was a big patch of dirt last october now has a patch of lawn with mulched walkways, a raised vegetable bed, a couple of cutting beds (my plantings), some color beds (g's planting), and some grape vines that are starting to take off, finally. i am having good luck so far with the rose bush i planted. we'll see how it continues. it's my first try with roses, and i know some of them can be kind of picky. for those who are interested, it's an english tea rose - 'tamora'.
while i'm posting pictures of the garden, i probably should put up some of the ones i've taken with my new nikon d40. i'm still learning, that's for sure, but i find myself in manual mode solely these days. it's nice to be able to not *have* to use the flash like i did with my little point and shoot camera (which is still in my purse for those 'wish i had brought my camera' moments).
the company's still doing well, though it's keeping me busy - too busy, i'm beginning to think. it will help when i move to escondido at the end of may. then i'll be forced to go home. as least the company is staying in the house - i'll miss my garden when we move!
